Premiere Pro CS5-CS6 Reference The only reason Ripple Delete doesn't work is because there are clips on other tracks that would prevent the ripple. and found that by locking all other layers of audio, I was able to then ripple delete clips. To delete the audio, you can either select the audio layer by clicking on it and hitting the delete key or right-click on the audio layer you just unlinked from the video and select Clear from the dropdown. You've now successfully removed the audio from your video using Adobe Premiere Pro.

I know it's possible to unlink video and audio, but it doesn't solve the problem. When right-click on a single clip (after unlinking, it is only audio track of a clip) in the timeline and choosing Properties, there is File Path which points to the original movie file. I'd like to change the file path so that it points to my new audio asset file.
